Style of Trekking
Trekking means travel on foot for short to long duration in the mountains and there are two ways of doing trekking in the mountains that are Tea house trek and Camping trek. However, only Camping trek is possible in the most remote parts of Nepal. All the treks are led by our professional local guides and other staffs, who all are well trained.
Tea house / Lodge Trek
Tea house or Lodge trek means to eat and sleep at the mountain huts along the trekking trails while on the trek. This type of trek is very popular in the most popular trekking regions of Nepal that include Annapurna, Everest , Langtang and Helambu where enterprising villagers provide good accommodation with western, continental and Nepalese meals. Private rooms (mostly twin sharing) are easily available. The rooms are very basic with foam mattresses and common bathrooms in most of the places but somewhere rooms with attached bath are also available. Although most of the tea houses in the hills and mountains are reasonably comfortable. Meals depend on the menu at the tea houses, usually ranging from the simple basic meals of the local people to western and continental dishes. The meals are usually served in a large dining room with a very homely atmosphere.
On our tea house trek, our English speaking guides (other language speaking guides are also available on clients’ request) arrange overnight accommodation with all meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) during the trek. The duffel bag of client is carried by porters, yaks or donkeys so client has to carry only a light day-pack containing personal items such as water bottle, camera, a rain coat or wind breaker , an extra layer of clothing (depending on the altitude, location and weather), sunglasses, and snacks that require during day time.
Staying in locally owned lodges is a great way to connect with some of the local culture and community as it gives trekkers an opportunity to experience about the Nepalese culture and their rural lifestyle.
