The Best Annapurna Trek

This trek into the Annapurna region is one of the best trekking destinations of Nepal. It is a low altitude trek in the foothills of Mt. Annapurna which showcases the cultural and physical diversity of the most beautiful corner of Nepal. This lodge-based trek takes you through terraced hillsides, picturesque villages and rhododendron and oaks forests with the backdrop of the magnificent Himalaya. The trek finally leads you to the Ghorepani which is a small but very beautiful town located on a hillside. The next day early morning we climb poonhill (3200 m) which is the best vantage of the area to enjoy the spectacular view of the mountains like, Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri (above 8000 m), Nilgiri, Machhapuchre, Lamjung and many other snow capped peaks as well as the sun rise view over the glorious Himalayas.

This lodge-based trek takes you through terraced hillsides, picturesque villages and rhododendron and oaks forests with the backdrop of the magnificent Himalaya. The trek finally leads you to the Ghorepani which is a small but very beautiful town located on a hillside. The next day early morning we climb poonhill (3200 m) which is the best vantage of the area to enjoy the spectacular view of the mountains like, Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri (above 8000 m), Nilgiri, Machhapuchre, Lamjung and many other snow capped peaks as well as the sun rise view over the glorious Himalayas. While on this trek you will also have a time to visit the local schools, markets and villages where cultural horizons are so different from our own.  A spectacular panorama of the Annapurna Range is enjoyed throughout this wonderful trek.

You return to Pokhara to relax by beautiful Phewa Lake before you drive to the Chitwan National Park and ride on elephants back to search rhino and the Bengal tiger. There is a variety of wildlife that inhabits in the park including over 300 species of birds, deer, crocodile, rhino, leopard and just possibly Bengal tiger! After the wildlife activities in Chitwan National Park you will be either drive or fly back to Kathmandu ending your family trips.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Day 02:  Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Day 03:  Fly to Pokhara. Afternoon sightseeing and boating on Fewa Lake

Day 04: Drive to Phedi and trek to Potana (1700m)

Day 05: Trek to Deurali (1800 m)

Day 06: Trek to Landruk (1550m)

Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk (1940m)

Day 08: Rest day

Day 09: Trek to Tadapani (2630m)

Day 10: Trek to Ghorepani (2775m)

Day 11:  Morning excursion to Poon Hill (3200 m) and back to Ghorpani

Day 12: Trek to Birethanthi (1025 m)

Day 13: Trek to Naya Pool (1340 m) and Drive to Pokhara

Day 14: Drive to Chitwan National Park – Safari in the afternoon

Day 15: Jungle safari

Day 16: Drive / Fly back to Kathmandu

Day 17: Morning Mountain flight and afternoon free day in Kathmandu

Day 18: Transfer to airport for journey back home>
