Trip Detail

Ama Dablam is one of the most spectacular mountains in the world and has inspired everyone who has visited the Khumbu area of Nepal not for its altitude, but for its beauty, aesthetics and the pure exposure encountered high on its flanks. This mountain is technically difficult with a combination of rock, snow and ice climbing and represents a very demanding proposition even for experienced climbers. Though it is technically quite difficult, the views at the backdrop while climbing are stunning with panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse and Makalu and other surroundings mountains. We climb en route island Peak (6160m/20210ft) to acclimatize before going to our main destination, Ama Dablam.

This unforgettable climb in the Khumbu region of Nepal involves a cultural trek up to the base Camp. We climb this mountain via the most popular route (Southwest Ridge) setting up three camps along the beautiful ridge with camp 3 just below and to the right of the hanging glacier, the Dablam where we have dramatic and exposed views of the Himalayas.
