Having provided details as to our preferences for holiday itinerary and our levels of fitness to a number of possible companies, my wife and I booked independently with Chhiring Sherpa on an all inclusive 20 day sight-seeing and trekking package in Nepal. The trip took place in October 2016 and we have no hesitation in describing it as the holiday of a life-time.

All our expenses along the trek were met as part of the package and Chhiring with his excellent English language, negotiated for all our requirements. It was a fabulous trek and perhaps most of all; we felt a marvelous sense of achievement having managed it.

For the remainder of the trip we spent some 3 – 4 days white water rafting in the Pokhara Region and then a similar amount of time in the Chitwan jungle, where we saw Rhinoceros, monkey, crocodile, elephants, deer and other animals. Again, Chhiring had organized the trip in accordance with our preferences and for this part of the holiday he based us in good quality hotels.

As with all best laid plans, there were occasions when due to bad weather or other factors such as a shortage of petrol in Nepal, alternative arrangements had to be put in place. Chhiring attended to each of these as they arose in a positive manner that caused the least possible disruption to our plans.

In essence, my wife and I felt in safe hands with Chhiring. We believe his company offered us a good value experience as well as one that we shall never wish to forget. We would be happy to provide a verbal reference to other English travellers if that were felt to be perhaps helpful.

I have known Chhiring since 1993 (when he was 16) on my third trip to Nepal; he has been with me on all the following trips (9 more). The trips involved a mix of large tented trips, large tea-house trips and two person (with limited staff) tea-house trips. On all occasions Chhiring has performed flawlessly, providing excellent service, friendly advice and sage council when any difficulty arose. He knows all regions of the mountains of Nepal. His cost estimates have always been accurate. I would unreservedly recommend his services to anyone wishing to have an outstanding experience in Nepal

I am retired and wishing that I were much younger! Chhiring Sherpa was our guide on the Annapurna Circuit. He was recommended by a friend who has done eight treks in Nepal. We had originally planned on doing the circuit without a guide or porter. Hiring him proved to be the best decision we made. Without him, we would not have completed our trek.

Not only did he give us excellent advice prior to our departure, he constantly assessed our progress and adjusted the pace and distances to accommodate us. When we wanted to turn back, his quiet words would motivate us to keep on going or at least to postpone the decision until the next morning. Thankfully, that decision was never made. His knowledge of Nepalese culture also made our trek so much more interesting. He expertly guided us through an environment that is hostile to the human body, trespassing through the playground of the gods. It was difficult but unimaginably magnificent!

I have no hesitations in recommending his services. He will take very good care of you!

Dear Chhiring,
I had a chance to experience first hand professionalism, courtesy and dedication of you and your team to achieve set goals through this journey. Twice I came to Nepal and had a chance to experience 2 routes once to Everest Base Camp directly and another one going through Gokyo lakes, Chola Pass and Base camp . This last time I did with my son so it was even more rewarding. I was very touched by the way you handled all procedures from the time we landed in Kathmandu, the trek itself and accommodations throughout the trek , Kathmandu sightseeing and the final drop to airport. We always felt safe and you ensured we ate the right food to avoid any issues. Under all circumstances I would recommend you and your tour and I am contemplating doing more treks with you in next future. Thank you Chhiring and Rinji
