Trip Detail
A heavenly trek in the far - west Nepal thrills a lot for those travellers who love to see the remote areas of Nepal and its life. It must be the wonderland designed by the nature for nature lovers. A journey into the Jumla region and the beautiful Rara Lake, is probably one of the most rewarding and fascinating treks in all the Himalayan range given its tranquility and the un-spoilt splendor of nature. Rara, situated at an altitude of 3000 m, is the biggest lake in Nepal. The brilliantly sparkling lake with clear water is perched on a high shelf and encircled by gray ridges and pine forested hills inhabited by bears, jungle cats, deer and other wild animals. The spectacular scenery and its serenity will bring inner peace to any visitor.
Starting this refreshing trek from Jumla and passing through hilly village where apple orchards stretch out over the hills. The trek leads through remote countryside toward the Tibetan border then enter the Rara National Park, which is the smallest national park in Nepal. The vegetations in the park are blue pine, black juniper, and west Himalayan spruce, oak and Himalayan cypress.
Because of its remoteness the area is in off the beaten trail so only very few trekkers travel in the region. This trek offers an exquisite display of clear high altitude lakes associated with pine, spruce, juniper forests and breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks along with the typical cultures of the local people.
