Ganesh Himal Trek
Ganesh Himal area is one of the Nepal's well known tourist destinations for both trekking and peak climbing as Ganesh Himal itself is one of the best climbing peaks of Nepal. The area is situated in central Nepal, North-West of Kathmandu and named after the elephant-headed Hindu’s god (god for good fortune). The Ganesh himal range has various peaks like; Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Ganesh IV which all looming up ahead forming the skyline. This great himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Buri Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east, which becomes Trishuli Khola in the lower section. A pass called “High Shing La†offers an excellent view of the snow capped peaks like; Ganesh Himal massif, Langtang, Annapurna and Manaslu.

The region also offers spectacular views of untouched natural beauties and the terraced hillsides by dominating the sky. The ethnical diversities of various groups in the region and their mixed lifestyles give the trekkers a real glimpse of Nepali life and culture, and which provide them an ample opportunity to observe the typical Nepali culture and tradition through direct interaction with them. Moreover, the area is also rich for flora and fauna where trekkers can see 526 species of plants including 40 species of orchids, and 300 species of birds. Other interesting wild animals in the region are Himalayan Thar, Gaur, monkeys and musk deer. Therefore, the trekking into the area will definitely give a sense of full satisfaction to everyone.
