Dhampus Peak (6012 m) Climbing
Dhampus peak is located northeast of the Dhaulagiri massif. In terms of climbing technicalities it is an easy mountain to ascent. The peak is also known as a Thapa Peak. The overwhelming altitude differences between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges make a very exposed spot to observe the scenery from Dhampus Peak.

Dhampus peak is located northeast of the Dhaulagiri massif. In terms of climbing technicalities it is an easy mountain to ascent. The peak is also known as a Thapa Peak. The overwhelming altitude differences between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges make a very exposed spot to observe the scenery from Dhampus Peak.
Though this peak climbing exceeds the 6000-meter frontier, no technical climbing skills are required. This means any experience in walking on snow / ice is advisable. Breathtaking scenery of Tukuche peak, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna I,II,III & IV, Tilicho Peak, Nilgiri South and North can be seen from the summit.
Dhampus Peak Climbing Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu, and transfer to Hotel
Day 02 : Sightseeing or Free day
Day 03 : Drive or Fly to Pokhara
Day 04 : Drive to Beni and trek to Tatopani
Day 05 : Trek to Ghansa
Day 06 : Trek to Tukuche
Day 07 : Trek to first camp of Dhampus peak (4000m)
Day 08 : Trek to to second camp (4900m)
Day 09 : Trek to highest camp (5200m)
Day 10 : Summit day (6012m)
Day 11 : Descend to second camp
Day 12 : Trek down to Tukuche
Day 13 : Trek to Jomsom
Day 14 : Fly out to Pokhara
Day 15 : Drive or fly to Kathmandu
Day 16 : Free day in Kathmandu
Day 17 : Transfer to airport for journey back home
