The region is quite popular for bird watching as well. Agriculture is the main occupation of the local people and the mixed local community includes Chhetri, Mahara, Bohora, Thekare, Jhakari and Lohar (iron-smith). Also a nomadic community known as “Raute” is found in this area. In terms of scenery and diverse culture, no other trekking regions can compete with this area and this new trekking destination would definitely fulfill every trekker's wildest dreams.
