Annapurna Sanctuary Trek
The great canyon of the Modi Kola River and the surrounding area provides a 7 -13 day trek that is truly astounding. The trek is a hike into the dazzling natural amphitheatre formed by the staggeringly giants peaks. The mountain views are spectacular and some mountains including Annapurna South, Annapurna 1, Glacier Dome, Gangapurna, Fang and Machhapuchhare, popularly known as fishtail guard the Annapurna sanctuary making the place like a heaven on earth. The raging river fills the air with mist, and a pleasant hot spring awaits the weary travelers. The elevation ranges from 950 m to 4200 m and the trails pass through sub-tropical lowlands, valleys, bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests, alpine meadows and windswept land of Annapurna mountain range.

The area also boasts a huge variety of cultures, tribes and castes including Brahmins, Chettris, Gurungs, Magars, and the Tibetans as well as amazing sightings of exotic birds, animals and nature, such as white capped river chat, brown dipper, white-breasted kingfisher, butterfly, barking deer, mountain goat, marten, langur, the elusive snow leopard, rhododendron forest & orchid flowers.
