The Everest Base Camp trek begins with early morning flight into the alpine village airstrip of Lukla (the entrance-way to the Everest region) and three hours walk to Phakding a small town located by the Dudh Koshi River. We continue our trek north up to Dudh Koshi Valley and to Namche Bazaar through Everest National Park. Namche Bazaar is nestled on a hillside with major mountains all around and has been the trading hub of the region for many years. There are numerous markets, good hotels, Internet services and shops to enjoy and we take a rest day here to aid our acclimatization. From Namche Bazaar we continue our trek to Kalapatthar and EBC via Tengboche and other villages along the trails and ultimately reach at Kalapatthar and Everest Base Camp both are our dreamed destinations of the trek. A stiff uphill climb to Kalapatthar reveals Mt Everest in its full glory along with many other high snow capped mountains. After enjoying the breathtaking views of the Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar, we return to Lukla following the same route and fly back to Kathmandu. This trek has the ability to astonish you with new and interesting experiences every day!
