Trip Detail

This trip combines a leisurely-paced trek with the fun of a jungle safari in Chitwan National Park one of Asia’s premier wildlife reserves. On this trek, we visit the beautiful Annapurnas area and enjoy great mountain scenery with plenty of time to meet the locals and explore their cultures. The trek begins with a short drive away from Pokhara at Naya Phul the starting point of the trek and from where the trek will begin walking at a relaxed pace and reach our lodge every day in time for lunch, leaving the afternoon free to relax or experience the local village life or interact with them. The trek takes us in terraced hillsides, picturesque villages and rhododendron forests, all with the constant backdrop of the magnificent Himalaya. Views of the ‘fishtail’ peak also known as Machhapuchhare and Annapurna South dominate the skyline, as we trek through Shyauli Bazaar to Ghandruk.

We explore the lakeside around Pokhara at the end of trek and then drive to Chitwan National Park to enjoy elephant back safaris, canoe trips and village walks. There is a variety of wildlife that inhabits the park including over 300 species of birds, deer, crocodile, rhino, leopard and just possibly Bengal tiger! We even have a chance to bathe with elephants. As a whole this trip is the combination of the stunning beauty and great diversity of Nepal.
